HANEN selects Norway's best honey 2025

For the first time in history, the NM i Honning has had over 300 registered entries. A total of 335 honeys from all over the country participated in the NM i Honning 2025, organized by HANEN in collaboration with Bybi and the Norwegian Beekeepers' Association.

After a thorough assessment, 99 honeys advanced to the finals, before the winners were named in 12 categories. This year's competition has had an extra strong professional foundation, including the participation of famous chefs and head chefs in the jury.

– Norwegian honey is of a very high standard, and the diversity in taste and expression is impressive, says project manager Erling Kristensen in HANEN.

The NM in Honey is an important part of the work to strengthen Norwegian local food, highlight the work of beekeepers and inspire increased use of Norwegian honey in both homes and professional kitchens.
