HANENs farm shop conference 2026

Farm shops are growing rapidly – we invite you to a conference!

The sale of local food through farm shops is growing rapidly. What is driving the development, who is succeeding – and what opportunities lie ahead? On October 13th and 14th, we invite you to HANEN for two days of fresh insights, inspiring examples and concrete tools for the farm shops of the future.

Farm shops have emerged as an exciting alternative for both Norwegian farmers and consumers over the past five years. Several farm shops have developed well-known brands and become profitable businesses for the farmer. At the same time, they have become attractive destinations for both locals and visitors.

As part of this development, HANEN has completed a development project with support from Innovation Norway. Both existing and potential farm shop operators have participated in the Farm Shop School, and there are even more upcoming courses on the way. By arranging the Farm Shop School, we have gained good experiences and received input for future offers and opportunities.

As the project draws to a close, we are developing a permanent concept. On that occasion, we will invite you to a conference where we will summarize the experiences from the project and present the way forward for HANENs focus on expertise and networking. We will take a closer look at trends in the sale of local food, with a particular emphasis on direct sales. In addition, we will explore how local producers and farm shops can become a more important part of tourism and the growing need for local preparedness.

The conference is held over two days. On the first day we will look at the farm shop as an industry, while day two will be a practical workshop for farm shop operators.
